BLYTH'S WHARF

DOCKLANDS, LONDON

arrow-left blank

Sixteen three and four storey houses form a terrace of alternating gabled and bow fronts directly facing the River Thames in Limehouse.

The use of stained timber boarding on the river elevation was suggested by early prints of riverside buildings in the area. The character of eighteenth and nineteenth century commercial warehouses has been respected and adapted to modern residential design.

The elevation to Narrow Street repeats the rhythm of windows in the eighteenth century terrace to the east.
