“As with fairgrounds, discotheques must provide greater thrills with each passing year. In Bennet’s one sits to rest from the writhing and perspiration of the flashing dance floor on chairs which apparently float over a pool of piranha fish. Despite this extravaganza, Bennet’s can be surprisingly calm, for the architect has taken great trouble to ensure that the sound is directed only towards the dance floor and it is possible to eat in the comfortable restaurant gallery without disco-beat induced indigestion. The architect has created the right type of fantasy décor, decadent, but well finished for the fraternity.”
