The proposed centre will front Saint Andrew’s Church, a Grade 1 listed building. The plan form will follow part of the site boundary and will open out and rise up to face the churchyard and the Church. The building is essentially solid along its back with small window openings, and fully glazed where fronting the Church. It will contain a variety of meeting spaces for all ages.It was accepted that a modern building alongside the 15th Century church would be an appropriate contrast, reflecting the respective periods of both buildings which will complement each other.
